If you are feeding your baby formula milk, you have already seen the various choices that are available in the market. Milk products that are available have a number of advantages the main one
being that they are full of vitamins and iron. This way they become the best choice for your baby's food.
Bottle feeding can be tricky at first as you actually are able to see the amount of milk the baby consumes, something that doesn't happen when breastfeeding. So you might be surprised of how
little a baby drinks. Think of how small the baby is and everything will make sense. Besides the baby needs to be fed every three hours approximately although this may vary. You will soon be able
to understand how often you have to feed the baby according to the reactions.
Another thing that will make your life easier if you use bottle milk is knowing your baby's tastes. If the baby is used to drinking the milk in room temperature, you will be able to prepare the
meal in less time. However, most of the babies prefer to have milk slightly heated. This means that you have to prepare it and warm it a little bit. Bottle feeding is easy, but you must take care
to keep everything clean. You should sterilize the bottles before the first use and after that wash them in warm water and soap. Make sure you rinse them well and no detergent is left. You should
then dry them at the air and keep them at a clean place.
You can mix breast milk with ready made milk but this is not advised. If you have breast milk to feed your baby, you should give the breast milk first and then see if the baby needs any more
milk. Breast milk is better and you shouldn't mix it as the baby might not consume the portion and you will waste it. So feed the breast milk first and then prepare supplements if they are
needed.
Bottle feeding is easier and can be carried with you, but is still the time when you feed the baby and you should pay attention to that. Keep the baby calm and enjoy the time you spend together.
Use this time to bond with your baby. Hold the baby in your arms and create a safe and secure environment to feed it. If you start with bottle feeding the baby will get used to it. If you start
with breast feeding and later change to bottle feeding, your baby might hesitate at first because the milk tastes different and the baby is not used to it, but because it probably tastes sweeter
your baby will get used to it soon.
Feeding is the time you spend with your baby. Make the most of it. We all know it won't be around forever.
